This page is dedicated to the players and supporters of Yeronga Football Club's third grade side. Currently the thirsty thirds play in the South East Queensland Australian Football League Division 4. The coach is Ian 'Dingo' Daniels. Last season's captain was Brett 'Vossy' McLennan. The thirsties are a social group of players who enjoy a quiet drink almost as much as playing footy. The team is usually a good mix of experienced and younger players new to the game of Australian Rules footy. If you have any questions about the thirsty thirds or you want something added to this page, contact Fraser at maitke10@gmail.com
First game of the season for the Thirsty Thirds
Away to Pine Rivers, 21st April 2012

Final practice match against University

The thirds had their first warm up of the season against the under 18s. With the great numbers at Dingo's disposal, he was able to field two full teams. The 18s under the guidance of Fletch and Kalzy were on the front foot from the opening bounce and controlled the majority of the game. There will be some exciting talent in the younger grade this year and we expect a big improvement in results this coming season. For the thirds, it was good to get some of the less experienced guys a taste of competitive football. Some photo's below (sorry but the lack of decent photo lighting made action shots basically impossible)

The end of the season for the Yeronga Thirds ended in a loss to the Jimboomba Redbacks. Which means the boys got to celebrate the conclusion of another season. The event took place on Sunday and was aptly titled Sunday Bloody Sunday. See photos below, select the thumbnails to change images.
