ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

All members are advised that the Annual General Meeting of the Yeronga Football Club Inc. will be held at the Clubhouse from 2:00pm Saturday, 31 January 2009. All members are invited to attend.

Nominations for positions on the Management Committee for 2009 can be submitted now. If you are interested in contributing to the direction of the Club, please consider joining the Management Committee. Nomination Forms are available from either John Corless or Lyn Boyd at the Club now. Completed forms must be returned to the Club prior to 24 January 2009. Nominations for unfilled positions can be taken from the floor on the day of the meeting.

It is important for Committee Nominees to remember that the Club operates over a full twelve month period. We all share the goal of continuously improving the Club, and we all contribute to the work to enable this to occur. It is not necessary to be on the Committee to provide a positive effort for the well-being of the Club - but we are grateful to those who take on the responsibilities that come with the roles.

Order of Events

A special general meeting will commence at 2:00pm Saturday 31 January 2009, to consider a motion for the inclusion of a new clause within the Club's constitution. The aim of the clause is to introduce a new category of membership within the Club. The wording of the clause is as follows:

"Classes of Members

"Perennial Members. The Management Committee has the power to grant Perennial Membership to persons nominated by members or the Management Committee. Such persons must have completed at least five (5) years service to the Club and significantly contributed to the overall advancement of the Club.

"The Perennial Member will have the right to exercise all privileges of an Ordinary Member without payment of the annual subscription for the time being.

"More than one Perennial Member can be elected in any one year.

"Perennial membership shall be unlimited in number - participants can achieve Life Membership as described in the Constitution."

This will be followed by the Annual General Meeting at 2:15pm.

1. a) To confirm the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting
b) To receive and adopt the Annual Report
c) Presentation and adoption of the audited Statement of Accounts

2. Election of Office Bearers for 2009 season

3. Appointment of auditors

4. Election of Life Member

5. General Business
